Maggiore lake west

Lake Maggiore, whose surface is shared between Italy and Switzerland, is one of main alpine lakes and the second biggest italian lake after Lake Garda.

A travel that allows to visit majestic landscapes, curiosities, atmospheres, in order to taste unique places: archaeological areas, parks, botanical gardens, medieval castles, villages, historical dwellings… Lake Maggiore offers all this to its tourists.

The blue of lakes and the green of hills embraces all the Piedmont. But it is in the zone of Lake Maggiore that these two colours are melted in sublime way. Every village on the lake has a peculiarity: in Baveno, Verbania and Belgirate there are splendid romanesque churches, in Cannobio there is a castle that rises on waters. In Ghiffa, the Sacro Monte della Santissima Trinità offers a breathtaking panorama on the lake and important artistic and religious pieces of art. In Verbania it is possible to visit the park of Villa Taranto Villa, while in Stresa we find the park of Villa Pallavicino.
